I think that I face a problem about listening and vocabulary. I need to know more vocabulary, so I have to ask my teacher to explain the meaning of words. It makes me easy to understand. The grammar is my problem. Sometime, I don't know how to use it because English and Thai grammars are very different. Therefore it is difficult for me to understand the English grammar. I want the teacher teach me about grammar and conversation because of English if I can speak English with is good for communication with foreigner. I want to have many friends in different country and different culture. I need to know about grammar because it makes me understand more English structure. I like the teaching style of teacher because all activities in class make me love English language. I enjoyed learning so much. Thank you for your teaching.

ReplyDeleteYou only want the teacher to teach you grammar and conversation? About grammar, it is not that important nowadays if you want to speak to foreigners. You don't have to be perfect in grammar, but just have to speak clearly and use appropriate vocabulary. In fact, I think knowing a lot of vocabulary is better than knowing a lot of grammar if you want to be successful in having a conversation. Most foreigners would understand if you use appropriate vocabulary but wrong grammar.
About listening and vocabulary, you can practice both by watching movies with English subtitle. What I would do is watching my favorite movies for three times. The first time I would watch without any subtitles. The second time I would watch with English subtitle and try to look for the words that I cannot understand and write them down. Before watching for the third time, I would find the meanings of the words that I wrote down. And the last time, I would watch without any subtitles again and see if I can understand or not. Why don't you try this and see if you like it?
